Hey y'all! My name is Pamela and I am a first-generation student studying Computer Science and Studio Art (c/o 2024)! I am a proud second-generation immigrant of Guatemalan descent, born and raised in beautiful Miami, Florida. Storytelling and creative technology have been my biggest endeavors during my time here at SMFA. I have learned to carry my story with pride and use it to uplift the stories of other underrepresented communities. In my art, I am driven by ideas of empathy and interconnectedness. I also volunteer as a college advisor with Matriculate and participate in clubs like Artists of Color Union and Association of Latin American Students! You might find me making your drinks at the SMFA Café, TAing one of your CS classes, or getting lost in Boston.
