Making Jumbo Moves in Kenya

Hola! My name is Mathew Ltisinyua Letua, a typical nomad son from the semi-arid land of Samburu, Kenya. I’m from a family of 17, with 3 parents and 14 siblings. I’m a freshman in the Tufts class of 2026 interested in majoring in International Relations and Economics. I’m a Civic Semester scholar, currently in the Sacred Valley group in Peru. I come from a region where communal clashes are a norm with political, economic, and social consequences, and at times, they have caused violence. With that, I’m interested in global peace and I look forward to taking a minor in Peace Studies with hopes that I will one day contribute to peace solutions in Northern Kenya and other sub-Saharan countries with the same issues. I play soccer, and volleyball and do javelin. I’m also a diehard fan of Chelsea.
