Hi! My name is Joy and I’m a senior in the BFA program from Denver, Colorado. My main mediums of choice include Graphic Arts (specifically book and magazine design), Animation, and Drawing. In my art, I deep dive into subjects like Italian-Baroque artwork or slasher film and make connections to contemporary ideas of gender. I am also the President (and founder) of Graphic Novel Club on the SMFA campus, publisher of BLOT Magazine. You can probably find me animating late in the studio, watching movies at Somerville Theatre, or working at the Tufts Art Galleries.
