Our Blogs

"Tufts is a place where you can - and be actively encouraged to - take a comparative history course in the morning, a physics lab in the afternoon, and work on a biostatistics project in the evening. It's a place where interdisciplinary interests flourish, from the classroom to the real world."

"We need a diversity of personalities to make our campus an enjoyable place to live and learn. Therefore, you should never feel pressured to paint students in a particular kind of way. We accept introverts and extroverts, leaders and team members, well-rounded students and specialists. We get a good grasp of these traits through the student’s own writing, but in hearing from their teachers and counselors we are able to confirm or expand our impressions of them, and create a fuller understanding of the student and community member we are evaluating."

-Gracie Marshall '15, Associate Director of Admissions

Opportunities to Visit Tufts

Our Medford/Somerville campus – home to the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering – is located just five miles northwest of Boston and may be easily reached by car or public transportation.

Our Fenway campus, home to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts, is located in downtown Boston. If you're interested in learning more about the BFA or Combined Degree program with the SMFA, visit the Fenway Campus.

for you

The best way to fully appreciate Tufts is to visit our campus. If you have never been to our campus, or it has been awhile, we would love to have you be our guest for a day. Our hope is that you can take a tour of our campus, enjoy a complimentary lunch in the dining hall, attend a class (if you wish) and meet with an admissions officer to answer any questions that you may have.

for your students

Almost every day of the work week (and on select Saturdays in the Fall and in April) we offer information sessions and tours. In addition, during the school year students can visit select classes and eat lunch at one of our dining halls with a Tufts student. See the Visit section of this website for details.

for group visits

If you would like to bring a group of 25 or more students to campus, please register here. We are unable to accommodate groups on weekends, holidays, and school vacation weeks.

At a Glance

At Tufts, we have a student body made up of more than numbers. Our students have strong grades and test scores, but we look for more than that when making a class. We admit students who are well rounded in all areas of their lives – academic, social, and extracurricular.

Career Outcomes

95% of the Class of 2021 were employed, enrolled in grad school, or participating in service or a fellowship within six months of graduation. Click this link to see about more where our most recent class ended up!
