Club Sports
A vast collection of athletic opportunities are available through club sports at Tufts. Tufts has 28 club sport teams and each offer a full competitive schedule allowing both the true competitor and the recreational student athlete to participate. Intramural Sports
The Tufts Intramural Program is an outlet for fun competition with other students and faculty. Those with a current Tufts ID can join a team and participate in such sports as volleyball, ping pong, and flag football.
Physical Education Classes
Within the liberal arts framework at Tufts University, the Physical Education program offers students instruction in individual, dual and group activities that promote lifelong fitness and enjoyment. Activity courses in aquatics, racquet sports, aerobics, yoga, weight training, skiing, sea kayaking are some examples of the diverse offerings of the department. Lecture courses are also popular amongst students and include: Bodyworks, Emergency Care, Advanced Principles of Exercise, Personal Fitness and Wellness, Care & Prevention of Injuries.
Approximately fifty five courses are scheduled each academic year, and most courses are offered fall and spring semesters. Every effort is made to maintain limited enrollment in all courses, to provide each student with maximum personal attention from the instructors.
Personalized Performance Program
The Tufts Personalized Performance Program is a group of experienced undergraduate and postgraduate trainers who provide guidance in the attainment of fitness goals for students, faculty, staff and community members. Students can sign up for 5 free sessions with personal trainers or can become personal trainers themselves!
