My name is Maddie Cortesi! I’m a junior double majoring in Sociology and STS (Science, Technology, & Society), with a minor in Medieval Studies. At Tufts, I am dedicated to my extracurricular communities and I’ve loved getting to highlight them through various Student Communications Projects projects over the past two years with the group. I’m a musician continuing my practice in the Tufts Wind Ensemble; 2024 Social Coordinator for the Tufts Cheerleading Team; and Head of Marketing/Design for The Lantern, an STS-centered club that just published our second magazine issue. And, I’m especially looking forward to doing research about cyborgs and Queer Feminist Technoscience studies this summer through Tufts’ Summer Scholars program!
