My Experience with the Derby Entrepreneurship Center
As a first-year with no academic direction and a drive to make the most of the liberal arts curriculum, I registered for a foundational entrepreneurship…
Hi everyone! My name is Carrie Ortner, and I am a senior from Scarsdale, New York. I study English as my major and Entrepreneurship and Engineering Management as my minors. I am excited to be a TA this semester in classes offered by the Derby Entrepreneurship Center. Outside of academics, I am a board member for Tufts Chabad House, and I am on the executive board of my local sorority, The Ivy. I applied to be an Admissions Fellow because I just finished my second year as Student Coordinator for FIT, a Tufts pre-orientation program, and I wanted to find another position that would allow me to make a positive impact on my fellow Jumbos. I loved being able to support incoming first-years in their adjustment to campus life during their first week at Tufts. I can't wait to work on programming that will help applicants better understand the Tufts community and display all the amazing things Tufts has to offer!
