Join us for an information session about the Center for Expanding Viewpoints in Higher Education (CEVIHE), which fosters engagement across ideological, religious, and cultural differences throughout Tufts University. We bring together students, scholars, and citizens to think critically and discuss sensitive political, economic, and social issues with depth, humility, and courage. We will share information about our events, courses, student leadership initiatives, student job opportunities, and the new Edge Fellowship for incoming first-year undergraduates. Mock Class: "Human Factors Engineering and Engineering Psychology: Where Art and Design Meet Science and Engineering"

“Human Factors Engineering” and “Human Factors Psychology” are two interdisciplinary majors offered at Tufts. In fact, Tufts is home to the country’s oldest (and some say most distinguished!) Human Factors program. In this mock class, you will learn what “human factors” is all about. Join Professor James Intrilligator to learn a brief history of the discipline, discover some of the methods used, hear about cutting-edge research at Tufts, and even do a bit of designing yourself.
