The Tufts University Social Collective (TUSC) hosts many events throughout the year from Bingo nights to Fall Gala. In the past three years that I’ve been at Tufts, I’ve been to various events on and off campus. In this blog, I want to share a couple of my favorite TUSC events that I’ve attended.

The first event is apple picking which happens every fall in October at the Honey Pot Hill Orchards. I had never done apple picking before I came to Tufts, so this event is memorable for me. For $5, you get an apple cider donut, an apple cider, a maze, a hayride, a bag full of apples, and a ride to and from the orchard. The apple cider donuts and the apple cider are so delicious and freshly made that I end up craving them after the event. You also have time to pick your own apples from the various apple trees on the farm. There are pears too! It’s a really fun time to hang out with your friends and get some outdoor time. Plus, is it really fall without apple picking and apple cider donuts?

The second event I want to share is goat yoga. I was unable to get a ticket last time they had goat yoga, so I was happy I got a ticket this year. My friend and I had never done goat yoga before, but we were really excited. The event was on campus on Res Quad and a local farm brought goats for the event. The goats were adorable and a few hopped on my back during the yoga. It was a great pick me up during a stressful week.

I appreciate TUSC for hosting various events because it subsidizes a lot of the events and makes it easy for friend groups to attend. It can be hard to plan events around people’s schedules and finances, but TUSC events are so easy to go to. There are events every week and it’s a great way to catch up with your friends and have some fun throughout the semester! If you are curious about the different events TUSC holds, check it out here: https://www.tusc.tufts.edu
