Starting the Semester Off Strong
As a freshman, I was exposed to a lot of different resources that helped me adjust to college level academics. From STAAR center workshops to events…
After being away from Tufts for an entire semester, I have really started to miss it. Here are some of the things that I am really looking forward to doing this fall when I return to Tufts!
1. Living in Sophia Gordon Hall
I am very excited to be living in Sophia Gordon Hall, which is one of Tufts' most recent dorms. I am living in an apartment-style building with three of my friends. We have a shared kitchen, common area, and bathroom. We each have our own single bedrooms. It is in a great area on campus - it's near the auditorium, Dewick Dining Hall, and the library.
2. Classes
I can't wait to get back to the academic life at Tufts. I am taking some really exciting classes for my senior fall! One that I'm especially looking forward to is the Sociology seminar on digital hate. While I have really enjoyed my time abroad, I have missed the ability to get to know professors so closely and take classes on such interesting topics!
3. An internship in Boston
For my Peace and Justice Studies major, I am required to participate in a semester long part-time internship. I am excited to have the opportunity to do this in Boston, where there are so many groups, nonprofit organization's, and government agencies that I have the opportunity to work at! This will be the first time I will have an internship while also taking classes, and I'm looking forward to a full schedule and busy semester!

As someone who was once a prospective Jumbo myself, I remember the intense curiosity about what college classes would be like. What was a typical day-to-day?…
