Hi blog readers, my name is Elisa, and I am from Bugesera, Rwanda. I am a member of the Class of 2029 majoring in Education, Sociology, and Economics. At Tufts, I am involved in the Tufts Debate Society and Engineers Without Borders (EWB). Outside academics, I enjoy playing soccer for fun, listening to music, watching movies and sports (especially Basketball and Soccer), and writing poetry; most of which comes during moments of insomnia. What drew me to Tufts was its strong sense of community and global perspective. From the beginning, Tufts felt less like a university and more like a family. As an international student, though I am far from home, Tufts has become another home for me, a place that makes me feel protected, loved and cared for.
