A great education stretches your mind, forces you to think about the world in different ways, and challenges you to examine your assumptions. This is particularly true when you take up the challenge of studying abroad, which Tufts students have been doing for more than forty years.
Around the Globe
Each year, 40-45 percent of Tufts undergraduates participate in full-year or semester-long foreign study programs around the world. Students may choose to spend their summer at Tufts' overseas campus in Talloires, France; a semester or year abroad at one of nearly 200 pre-approved programs; or select one of Tufts' ten study abroad programs in Chile, China, France, Germany, Ghana, Hong Kong, Japan, London, Madrid, Oxford, or Paris.
Across the Country
Tufts runs programs off campus in Washington, D.C., and at Mystic Seaport, and it maintains exchange programs with three other colleges on the East Coast.
First-Year Global Programs
Some of the most profound educational experiences take place outside of the classroom. Tufts is proud to offer two unique global opportunities for incoming students to combine academics, a social impact internship, foreign language learning, and cultural immersion in six incredible locations around the world.
