The Transfer Pool
Transfer admissions to Tufts is highly competitive. In the last few years, the acceptance rate for transfer students has been between ten and twenty-five percent. While the competition for transfer seats at Tufts is extreme, each complete application receives a comprehensive review by Tufts’ Transfer Admission Committee.
Tufts’ Transfer Admission Committee does not employ ‘admissions calculus’ to render its decisions – GPA and standardized testing cut-offs do not exist. However, please note that the most powerful transfer candidates tend be high achieving in their chosen fields of study. Each applicant’s academic profile is considered in the context of their personal history, their reasons for wanting to transfer to Tufts, as well as their specific passions, goals, talents and interests.
