Public Transportation
Subway
SMFA is most easily accessed by the Museum of Fine Arts stop on the Green Line E train or the Ruggles stop on the Orange Line. If you take the Green Line, after getting off the train head northeast on Huntington toward Museum Road and turn left onto Museum Road. Then turn left onto The Fenway. If you take the Orange Line, exit the T station and turn right onto Ruggles Street toward Albert Street. Ruggles will become Louis Prang Street, then you turn right onto The Fenway. The entrance to the SMFA at Tufts is marked by a large rhino sculpture, made by alumna Katharine Lane Weems.
Bus
Take the 39 bus to the Museum of Fine Arts stop, or the 8, 47, or CT2 buses to the Ruggles stop. If you take the 37, after getting off the bus head northeast on Huntington toward Museum Road and turn left onto Museum Road. Then turn left onto The Fenway. If you take the 8, 47, or CT2, follow Ruggles Street toward Albert Street. Ruggles will become Louis Prang Street, then you turn right onto The Fenway. The entrance to the SMFA at Tufts is marked by a large rhino sculpture, made by alumna Katharine Lane Weems.

Parking
Because our limited parking fills up quickly - especially during popular exhibitions, holidays, and school vacation weeks - we encourage you to take advantage of the MBTA, Boston's public transportation system (known by natives as the "T").
Museum Road Garage - Parking rates range from $10 to $30 depending on the length of your stay. Museum members receive a discount.
Please take your parking ticket with you; all parking facilities are automated. Payment for parking may be made in the garage lobby, or by credit or debit card at the exit lanes of the lots. Scan your membership card to receive the discounted rate.
Street Parking - Limited street parking can be found on Museum Road, The Fenway and Evans Way. We recommend that you download the ParkBoston app to pay for metered parking with a credit card. This app allows you to track the time left on your meter and reminds you when your meter is about to expire.
