Tufts has so many gorgeous spots on campus and I want to share a couple of my favorite spots on campus! Though my favorite spots have changed throughout my time at Tufts, two places remained my favorite throughout: the Tisch Roof and the Tower Café. Here are some reasons why these are my go-to spots to de-stress, study, and hang out.
The Tisch Roof is one of the most popular spots on campus. It is right across the Chaplaincy and it has amazing views! You can see the Boston skyline and the Tisch roof garden (‘green roof’) where there are plants that spell out 'Tufts'. Many students go there to study, hang out, and eat when the weather is nice. I’ve woken up early to watch the sunrise from the Tisch roof and it is so beautiful! People often stop by to take pictures during sunsets there, especially in the fall when leaves are changing colors. If you ever visit campus in person, this is a must see spot!
Though there are many cafés on campus (Hotung, Kindlevan, Mugar Café, and The Sink), the Tower Café is my favorite (but I will say that Hotung comes close!). Tower Café was the first cafe I visited when I toured the campus and it is the one I go to most often. It has a really cozy vibe and there is a nice view from the big windows (even better when there is lots of sunshine in the cafe). The café is open until late at night, so it’s a great place to refuel if you are studying for your exams or writing a paper. My go-to drink is hot chai latte and caramel macchiato!
