My Daily Schedule

Oct 05
Jaiden Mosley Jumbo Talk

Through my first few weeks at Tufts, I have been trying to find a daily schedule and routine. I have tried different techniques throughout my first few weeks. However, I’ve recently noticed that I have FINALLY settled into a consistent daily routine these last two weeks. My schedule however does change a little bit depending on the day.

On Tuesday and Thursday, I have class very early in the morning! On these days I usually wake up at 6:30. I shower, get dressed and brush my teeth. I might eat something light in the morning such as yogurt or a granola bar before heading of to my 8 am English class. My class usually finishes around 9:15. After that I don’t have class until 12:00 which my French 1 class. From 9:20 to about 11:40 I usually use that time for study, homework or any other miscellaneous tasks I might need to handle. When 11:40 rolls around I head to my 12:00 French class. This class usually lasts around 50 minutes. Around 1:00 I head to Dewick one of the dining halls near my dorm (Tilton Hall) to grab some lunch and catch up with some friends. I usually eat for about 30 to 35 minutes. Around 1:45 I go back to my dorm to relax and have some downtime. This usually lasts until about 3:45 or 4:00. After this I usually spend 3 hours in the library for homework and study time before heading to dinner around 7. After eating I head to the weekly history society meeting. History society is a weekly student lead group here at Tufts for any student who loves history! You do not have to be a history major to join! This usually last from 8pm-9pm. After this I usually go back to my dorm and finish any homework I did not finish earlier. After this I go to bed at around 10:30 0r 11:00.

On Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays it is a little bit different. On Monday and Wednesdays, I usually wake up at around 8am. I get dressed and take a shower and I might eat a light breakfast. Around 9 I head to the library for about 3 hours to study and do some homework. At around 12:00 I go to Dewick to grab some lunch. After I finish lunch around 12:40 I go back to my room for 30 minutes and relax. I head to my 1:30 Shakespeare class around 1:15. After class ends around 2:35. I head back to my dorm and study until 4:15. At 4:15 I head to my 4:30 Byzantine history class. This class usually finishes around 5:45. At 6 I go to get dinner and sometimes meet my friends for about an hour. After this I go back to my dorm to study until I got to bed around 11:00. On Saturdays I usually hang out with my friends sometimes in Davis Square, watch some college football, and do some of my homework. On Sundays I do laundry, homework as well as watch NFL football on Sunday afternoons!

This has been my weekly routine for the last two weeks. I am finally starting to settle into my routine and my groove as I get more acclimated to the Tufts community. I hope this provides you of a good image of what the average day of a student here at Tufts looks like!
