Oh No! This is Hard!
One of the hardest aspects of my transition to Tufts was the academic transition. Going from a hybrid senior year to a mostly virtual first-year…
As a high school senior on his last semester of high school, I have begun to reflect on my experiences. Looking back, it seems like an eternity since I was that clueless freshman. Suddenly, I realized that the past four years have been incredibly long and difficult. Even back then, I was ready to graduate and I didn’t even know what I was doing (that part is still the same). I’ve come pretty far considering my circumstances, and of my all my achievements, one that stands out is the amount of television I’ve watched. The hours I dedicated to watching numerous TV show ranging from “Breaking Bad” to “Orange is the New Black” is considerable and I do not regret any of it.
Last week, the conclusion of “The Bachelor” aired where viewers got to see the emotional rollercoaster of the final contestants. These last two contestants met with Nick’s family where they both expressed completely different feelings. They went on their “final date” that involved ice skating and for some reason Santa Clause.
Although Venessa never quite understood how the show worked, Nick Viall chose her and sent Raven packing. Instead of choosing Raven, the perfect person, Nick chose reluctant Vanessa. Smh
I promise there’s a point to this.
From Corinne’s naps to the confused dolphin, “The Bachelor” continually provided drama and entertainment that made my Mondays just a little less bad. It is times when one has three essays to write, calculus homework to do, and 200 pages to read that TV can swoop in and make everything better even if it’s for a couple of hours.
Doing something you love or having a creative outlet is an excellent way to manage stress or life in general. Everyone needs a passion to keep going. By simply taking some time from the relentless pace of life to do something enjoyable, you can reduce you stress levels. So, if its knitting, baking, photography, or even sleeping, do it!
Back to the “happy” couple, I give them 3 months. Tops

I learned college can be a lot last semester and sought out resources accordingly; I went to the STAAR Center workshops, attended tutoring sessions…
