CREATE Pre-Orientation
Do you consider yourself an artist? A maker? A designer? A musician? A casual art appreciator? This might be the Pre-Orientation for you.With students hailing from all over the world, CREATE facilitates opportunities to build connections from multiple student perspectives through art adventures on Tufts’ Campus and beyond! Students experience the Boston art scene through field trips to local museums, performances on the Common, and music venues. They will also integrate the arts into their first few days on Tufts campus through a series of creative projects. Students will collaborate in jam sessions, runway competitions, stop motion animation series, and more. Take it from one of our CREATE leaders, Alix Kaplan, Class of 2021:“Meeting new people through the lens of an artistic expression lends itself to a wider set of connections. This is why I found the CREATE Pre-Orientation to be so valuable. Even as a leader rather than a participant, I was able to find other students who shared similar passions as mine, and be inspired by ones that I had not experienced yet. It is a fantastic way to get to know the resources and the people that you will then continue learning beside.”Like all the other wonderful pre-orientation programs, CREATE aims to form lasting bonds, establish new friendships and make a supportive and trustful environment for incoming students to thrive in for their entire university experience!
