College Searching for Juniors: Tip #2

Feb 08
Rachel Brown Inside Admissions

JUNIORS!

In my Tip #1 blog, I advised that you ask yourself some questions to reflect on what you’re looking for in a college. As you continually ask yourself these questions, you might notice that your answers evolve or change. That’s okay – it’s all part of the process!

Now I'm back with my next tip...
Tufts Admissions College Search Tip #2: Seek out student voices on campus

As you reflect on what you’re looking for, current college students may provide some helpful insights. At Tufts, there are many ways to find student voices to learn more about their experiences in the community. Here’s where we suggest you start:

  • JUMBO Magazine – in each issue, we ask current students our favorite question –  “Why Tufts?” Read the answers from Alekya, Sarah, Will, and Hasan for snippets of the best Tufts has to offer.
  • Jumbo Talk – our blogs! We have a dedicated team of bloggers who are eager to share their experiences with prospective students. Follow one or all throughout their semesters to get the scoop on weekly life at Tufts.
  • Contact a student directly – they don’t bite! Tufts is filled with kind students, all of whom are eager to share their honest opinions about the best dining hall food, Boston weather, their favorite campus tradition, or their most inspiring professor.

Stay on the lookout for our third and final tip for starting the search…that’s enough homework for now.
