One of the best parts of being a student at Tufts is how easy it is to explore Boston. Whether you’re into history, sports, arts, or food, the city has something for everyone—and when the weather starts to warm up, Boston really comes alive.
As a Tufts student, you’re only a short ride away from the heart of the city. The Green Line on the MBTA (Boston’s subway system) runs straight from campus into Boston, making it super convenient to get into town for a quick study break or a night out with friends. One of my personal favorite ways to enjoy Boston in the spring is by catching a Red Sox game at Fenway Park, one of the most historic baseball stadiums in the country.
Here’s where it gets even better: Tufts students get access to Red Sox Student 9s. It’s honestly a hidden gem that more people should take advantage of. Here’s how it works: every few weeks during baseball season, you’ll get a text or email letting you know that Student 9s tickets are available for that day’s game. All you have to do is click the link, and you can grab two tickets for just $9 each. No stress, no planning ahead, just a spontaneous and super affordable way to take a break and soak in the Boston vibe.
Fenway is more than just a stadium—it's a Boston institution. Whether you’re a die-hard Sox fan or just going for the vibes (and the Fenway Franks), a game is the perfect way to unwind, bond with friends, and be part of the Boston culture.
At Tufts, your college experience isn’t just about what happens on campus—it’s also about taking advantage of all the opportunities Boston has to offer. From cheering on the Red Sox to discovering new neighborhoods, museums, and food spots, your time here can be as vibrant and exciting as you make it.
So if you're a student thinking about Tufts, know this: we’ve got academics, community, and an amazing city just a T-ride away. And once you experience a sunset at Fenway with a $9 ticket in hand and your friends by your side, you'll understand why this place is so special.
