Blog post #2 for Semester 2
Daily schedule for Semester
The second semester started just a couple of weeks ago here at Tufts. My schedule now in the second semester is a little different from my schedule in semester 1. I would like to share with you what my second semester schedule looks like now and what your second semester schedule could look like if you come to Tufts in the future!
On Monday and Wednesdays, I only have one class. I have Intro to Africana Studies from 3:00 to 4:15. In the mornings on Wednesday and Monday from about 9to 12:30 I usually go study in the library and ise that time to study for tests as well as complete homework. At 12:30 then I usually go eat lunch at the Dewick dining hall for about 30 minutes to an hour. Around 1:30 I take an afternoon walk around campus for about 20 minutes. At 2 I usually use that time to get prepared for Africana Studies. I review my notes and I review the readings that we are going to discuss in class for that day until class starts at 3. After Africana Studies ends around 4:15 I usually take some free time to relax and watch a little TV until dinner around 6. At 6 I usually go eat dinner at the Dewick dining hall for about 30 minutes and sometimes I meet my friends there as well for dinner. From 7-8 I usually watch Tv in my dorm room and at 7:30 specifically I watch one of my favorite Tv shows jeopardy. From 8-10 I finish up any work I have left and then from 10-11 I read and unwind before I go to bed around 11:15.
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are usually a little busier for me. On Tuesdays s I wake up around 7:30 and get ready and washed up before my 10:30 Philosophy class. After Philosophy ends around 11:45 I walk across campus to make my French class that starts at 12:00. After French class ends at 12:50 I go eat lunch at Dewick from 1-1:30. Then from 2 to 3:30 I take some time to relax, maybe hang out with friends or just take some time to read. From 4- 5:45 I take time to study and finish homework. From 6-6:40 I then attend my French recitation where students who stake French practice conversing in French outside of class time. From 7-8 I eat dinner. After dinner from 8-10 I finish any work, I didn’t finish earlier. From 10-11 I unwind, maybe read a book and then its lights off at 11. This is pretty much the schedule I have for Thursday except for my French recitation at 6. On Fridays my schedule looks a little different. I wake up around 8 and then I get dressed. Around 10 or 10:15 I usually head to the Benjamin G. Brown school which is about at 10–15-minute walk from Tufts in Sommerville. I have started to tutor 2nd grade students in Math there as a job. I am apart of the program called Tufts Literacy Corps wich is a program here at Tufts that employs Tufts students as tutors and sends them out to local schools in order to help younger children with math and reading. I enjoy working with children and being a role model that they can look up to! After my job around 11:15 I head back to Tufts and get ready for my 12 o’clock French class. After French around 1 I have to hurry up and eat lunch. Then I have to go to my nutrition class from 1:30 to 4:30. At 6 I eat dinner and then at 7 I usually hang out with friends or unwind from my busy week for the rest of the night. This is basically my schedule for the 2nd semester you can see it is quite busy. On the weekends I usually hang out in the city with my friends or just lounge around and relax on my own.
