Picture this: it’s a Friday night and you want to go outside and have some fun with friends at a local restaurant. Problem is, you can’t decide on a place! Well, you’re in luck. Not only do the places around Medford and Somerville both have amazing places to eat at, but so does Boston!
Here are some recommendations from me and my friends:

For behind campus, I recommend Picante: it has great food for a great price. Everyone goes here, even the professors. Tasty Cafe is also located behind campus and has phenomenal brunch.
In Davis, Waikiki has amazing grab-and-go poke, and is a great place to grind out homework.
Another place is Mr.Crepe, which is amazing for dinner, but equally amazing for dessert. I personally recommend the tiff and tone dessert crepe!
Dakzen is the place to go for boat noodles and Sugidama is probably my favorite comfort food restaurant because of the soba noodles.
If you’re looking for somewhere a little farther, go to Taiwan Cafe in Chinatown. It has excellent dim sum - even cures homesickness!

The Burren has good prices and great food. It was even rated in the top Irish pubs in the country!

Dave Fresh’s Pasta, in Davis, has a wonderful variety of sandwiches and pasta.
In Porter Square, Sapporo Ramen has brilliant miso ramen. There are also a bunch of other Japanese restaurants tucked away on the first floor of Lesley University. It’s a hidden gem of Cambridge.
Going outwards to Boston, check out the whole line of shops on Newbury St., where all the cool shops are, but for restaurants, the best place is Eataly in Prudential Center. This place is the place to beat for Italian food and has satisfied my cravings for the cuisine ever since I developed a fondness for it since studying abroad in Italy.
Hope that’s enough to jumpstart your culinary adventures! Have a good night out with your friends!
