In Hell? Exhale!

Jan 28
Jumbo Talk

Have you ever taken the time to stop and completely focus on your ... breath?

Seriously though, when you take a deep breath you can feel the tension being released from your lungs. You reach this point where you can't take in anymore air and your chest tightens until you need to let it all out. Your other senses heightening as the air passes.

I live for that cool air that escapes your lips.

I live for that breath.

Focusing in on the airflow is the only true way to end all the thoughts on your mind, and reach a state of pure existence. Where you are in the world around you, calm and clear in conscious, with nothing but the sound of your breaths and heartbeats to accompany you.

To live with that breath is to always remember to focus on it during the day to days. Gaining a clear mind and focusing ourselves around our bodies and its seemingly automatic functions. But is it really so automatic? When you begin to think about your breath you begin to think about your consciousness as a whole and your mind and spirit are united in those respirations. Breath, is itself a guide to making sense of our lives. We all experience so much and take in so much information that it's easy to forget about the importance of breath. But we all can't hold our breath long for a reason.

Many people recently have asked me for advice in their college app endeavors and adjustment to college life and the workload and everything. My only advice is for you all to stop more often and breathe. Taking the time to clear our minds from all the worries and stresses that put so much tension on our bodies has to come first. How else do you expect to learn to do anything without first being able to breathe?

Word Up

PS.

Some songs that come to mind about this very subject:

Pearl Jam - Just Breathe

Fabolous - Breathe

Sia - Breathe Me

Jordin Sparks - No Air  (Haha)

PPS: At least half of those songs aren't about it at all lol
