Optional Alumni Interview
Does Tufts offer interviews?
A personal interview is not a required element of Tufts’ undergraduate admissions process, though first-year applicants may request an optional evaluative interview. The interviews are conducted by members of the Tufts Admissions Network, who are alumni volunteers, or by one of our senior student interviewers. Tufts does not offer on-campus interviews or interviews with admissions officers.
How do I request an alumni interview?
You may request an optional interview via the Applicant Status Portal, which you will be able to access after your application has been received.

Due to the ratio of applicants to interviewers, please know that an alumni interview is not guaranteed nor will the absence of one be a negative reflection on a student's candidacy for admission.
What can I expect during an alumni interview for Tufts?
A Tufts alumni interview is a relaxed conversation with either an alumni volunteer or a current senior at Tufts. It is both an opportunity for the admissions committee to learn more about you and a chance for you to ask your interviewer about their Tufts experience.
