This past weekend, the Tufts men's track and field team finished 2nd and the women's team 3rd at the Division III New England Championships. The men's team, who was only beat by MIT, had victories in the 200, the 600, and the 800. On the women's side, there was only one victory of the day, but also nine top-five individual performances, showing the team's range of talent and depth. Sophomore Alexis Harrison won the 60-meter dash with a personal-best time of 7.78, which ranks in the top five nationally and improves on her own school record. In addition, the 4x200 relay broke a 30-year Tufts record from 1984 with their time of 1:45.50, which was good for second place. MIT and Williams were the only schools to place ahead of the women's team.
