What do you think of when you see the number 311?
Maybe you think of 311’s hit song “Amber” and decide to get turnt-up in your dorm room at 4:21 in the afternoon, forcing your RA to come a-knockin’ to tune down your reggae Beatdown.
Or maybe you’ve misdialed 4-1-1 in an infuriated attempt to get the number of the DMV you’ve been driving around trying to find for the past 45 minutes. Aaand there goes your exit off the 93…
It might even be your birthday. You’ve spent your 3/11 of every year midget motorcycle giant slip-n-slide sling-shotting into a lake “Jackass style” with Johnny Knoxville or playing your annual B-Day hoops 1 v. 1 game with Anthony Davis or crushing Terrence Howard movie marathons covered with popcorn and birthday cake all day.
But if you are a Jumbo- a true Bo- with the spirit, pride, and determination of a Tufts die-hard, you’ll look at the number 311 and see something different. Something powerful. Something motivational.
November 13, 2013 marks a new era for Tufts Football. On September 20, 2014 at 10:30 am, an Academy charter bus will arrive at the Ellis Oval. 311 days until an arcane déjà-vu of September 25, 2010.
After 31 in a row, there is only 1 thing to do.
Everyone is 0-0. 2014 starts today.
