Shaan Merchant

Hi all! My name is Shaan and I'm a senior from Nashville, Tennessee. I created my own Interdisciplinary Studies Major in Political Media and major in Spanish. I work as a tour guide and admissions intern, I'm a barista at The Rez, a student-run coffee shop on campus, and serve on the boards for Synaptic Scholars and Tisch Council of Philanthropic Leadership. Off campus, I have a super fun job giving food tour's of Boston's Little Italy. When I'm doing one of these things, I'm furiously working on my thesis, which is on political comedy. I am passionate about comedy, food, writing, people, dogs and so much more! I'm excited to share a little about Tufts' curious community with you all.
