¡Hola, my name is Kayla Cortez! I’m from a small town in South Texas just 30 minutes from the US-Mexico border. I am currently a first-year majoring in English, but from music to physics, my interests are pretty scattered. When I'm on campus, I enjoy laying in the President's Lawn for movie night or visiting the Latinx Center. Although my home is miles away, the Tufts’ family has never failed to make me feel accepted and the cold breeze is just another perk I didn’t have in Texas!
