My high school days were spent playing in my school’s band (a band so small that our band teacher had to play with us), memorizing produce codes at my grocery store job to pass the time, and shuffling through my homework assignments on my hour bus ride home (I upgraded to an iPod from my clunky Discman senior year – a momentous occasion). College seemed like a foreign and far-away thing – so much so that I didn’t set foot on a college campus until my senior year. A world that once seemed untouchable has been my home, as a student and now as a professional, for the past decade. The road has been interesting, empowering, and (at times) bumpy, but I’ve come away with a better understanding of this whole college thing, and I want to share that with you.
