Available Major, Available Minor
Scholarship in Education concerns how people learn and how to help people learn. It can be a wonderful complement to undergraduate students' studies in their primary majors, through a course or two, a minor, or a co-major. Because students come from a range of primary majors, and have a variety of particular interests, the major in Education involves custom design. Students work with their advisors to choose 10 courses. There are only three core requirements, in Cognitive and Social Development, Schools as Institutions, and Teaching and Learning. Majors also complete a Capstone that could involve teaching, internships, or research.
