Science & Math Open House
Tufts is on the cutting edge of the sciences and mathematics, starting at the very top, with President Anthony Monaco, a renowned geneticist, and Dean of Arts & Sciences Joanne Berger-Sweeney, a neurobiologist. Our students thrive in the classroom and in the lab. The Science and Math Open House is a half day program where prospective students interested in science and math can meet Tufts professors, tour campus and laboratory spaces, eat lunch in the dining halls, talk with current students and admissions officers, and explore the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics.
The 2011 Science and Math Open House was Monday, November 7, 2011. Thank you for attending! The program featured speakers including Joanne Berger-Sweeney, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Biology, Lee Coffin, Dean of Undergraduate Admissions, Juliet Fuhrman, Associate Professor and Chair of Biology, and visits to laboratory spaces where visitors had the opportunity to speak with students and faculty in each of the six science and math departments.
