On the Town!
Boston is like no other city in the world. Home to more than 250,000 college students, Boston is a major metropolitan area with a distinctly collegiate feel. Whether you’re looking for live music, sports, entertainment, internships, or the perfect burrito, you’ll find endless opportunities for social, cultural, intellectual, and distinctively Boston experiences.
Davis Square
Davis Square in Somerville is a 10-minute walk from campus and offers students a hip neighborhood atmosphere. It’s a great retreat from campus if you’re looking for a movie, a band, or just some bad art. If you’re hungry, food options include Indian, BBQ, Italian, Tibetan, and Mexican cuisines. You can also find ice cream, crepes, and cupcakes. If you’re too full to walk back to campus, you can take the Tufts Shuttle (students call it "The Joey").
Davis is also your gateway to Boston: Hop on the T and 13 minutes later you’re downtown.
Boston
Your arrival at the Park Street station puts you in the very heart of the city. A short walk in any direction will feature the theater district, shopping in Back Bay, history on The Freedom Trail, or enthusiastic fans at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox.
