Most Jumbos find time in between their studies to hit the gym or be part of a team. The gym-goer can enjoy the swimming pool, the fitness center, and the free weights. Or, for more team spirit, students can join one of more than 20 different club and intramural teams including flag football, dodgeball, ultimate Frisbee, water polo, fencing, and rugby. Tufts University competes in the NESCAC athletic conference in 28 different Division III sports including crew, lacrosse, sailing, fencing, football, and squash.

Become a Jumbo Fan and cheer on any of our varsity teams, whether it be football, baseball, hockey, lacrosse, field hockey, tennis, or fencing! To get even more fired up, attend one of the athletic department's regular Fan the Fire events and rally around the 'Bo's with the whole community!
Fun fact about Tufts and Athletics? The Boston Red Sox once used the Tufts' facilities for spring training in 1943, when gasoline limits forbade farther travel!
