THEN:
Tufts' environmental science program captured me with its tracks for expert development. When I visited Tufts, I had the pleasure of meeting Sara Gomez who affirmed that Tufts' Office of Sustainability is the perfect place to begin my mission of global environmental recovery. The pattern of welcoming, friendly, and quirky people overwhelmed me with a sense of belonging. It brings me joy how the arts is supported through an amazing music program, ensembles, and productions. I would bring a fresh passion to the music program, opera and a cappella ensembles. In short, my heart is at Tufts.
NOW:
My reasons for coming to Tufts have morphed and changed as I rediscover myself, but the essence of why I chose Tufts before, still applies. The campus gives me a sense of home with the kind students, caring professors, and loving community. Of course, the environmental studies and music programs are still a huge part of that experience. Now, I am close with many of the ENVS faculty, including Sarah Gomez and am involved in the Office of Sustainability. Also, I’ve been in three opera productions including Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. After interacting with people on campus who believe in me and support me, I know that Tufts is a place for me to explore myself and what the world has to offer.
