Did you know that Gmail has a section called Notes? Because I didn't and you won't believe what I found... The notes I took while I was touring Tufts!
I toured Tufts almost 4 years ago as a junior in high school. My dad and I drove up from Long Island to see Tufts (of course), Brown, Brandeis, and Dartmouth. Because I was touring so many schools in a span of 3 days, I was instructed to take notes on everything and anything so I would remember if I wanted to apply and what I would write about if one of the essays was "Why (insert school here)?". So here, I'm going to share my notes with you and also go back in and briefly explain how each and every note has had a positive effect on my time here at Tufts.
I hope it helps you as much as it helped me 3 years ago when I was deciding where to go to college.
(Note: I used emojis to rank how I felt about something. I was super cool.)
INTERVIEW MANDATORY FOR ME - I never actually got an interview, but I did talk to the Tufts representative after she visited my high school. Interviews in general are very helpful. I went on three, almost four (that's a story for another post), interviews and it was nice to get the vibe of the alumni, learn about school "back in the day", see where they are now, etc.
**Canon** (why I want to go there) - Looking back, this was probably a very common reason as to why people apply to Tufts. But I still stand by my decision to write about it. The canon is not only an incredibly fun tradition, but it also symbolizes that Tufts is centered around it's campus and that it will always be place where you can voice your opinions, be heard, and not be judged for them.
