- Buy Tufts gear
- COMPLETED—I was eagerly online buying new swag within an hour of receiving my acceptance letter back in December. I have now amassed a pile of Jumbo clothing and can often find myself slipping into my new baby blue sweatshirt after practice.
- Refollow Tufts on social media
- COMPLETED—Prior to the release date I unfollowed all Tufts related pages in preparation for the rejection that I hoped would not come. Moments after receiving the good news, I logged on and refollowed Tufts’ Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, etc. and had fun getting lost in my dream school once again.
- Join the Tufts 2020 page
- COMPLETED—The page was the perfect place to discuss our mutual love for Tufts, ask questions of current students, and discuss the ever-present theme of senioritis that is running through all of our lives.
- Get to know my new classmates
- WORK IN PROGRESS—Through the #Tufts2020 Facebook page I have been able to meet (sort of a loose term) many new people that remind me everyday why I applied to Tufts in the first place.
- Find a roommate
- WORK IN PROGRESS—Although I am not sure whether or not I will be going the random route or picking a compatible match, the process is exciting just the same. While waiting for the roommate survey I have connected with many other girls with passionate interests, quirky personalities, and great senses of humor that make up a range of people I would want to spend the next year with.
- Apply for TWO
- INCOMPLETE—Unfortunately I cannot yet apply for Tufts Wilderness Orientation that would place me on a trip with my future peers leading up to the orientation that will take place on campus the following week. I'm currently readily awaiting the notification in my inbox that it's time to sign up.
- Adjust to a Boston mindset
- WORK IN PROGRESS—Sitting here in Seattle in the nice warm (80o F) and sunny weather, I keep scrolling through my Instagram feed and watching as photo after photo of snow covering the Tufts campus appears and I remember it is not quite Spring everywhere. Along with the weather I am eagerly awaiting the moment when my TV shows are no longer spoiled online prior to airing on my coast (Criminal Minds anyone?).
- Buy a winter coat
- INCOMPLETE—An inch of snow in Seattle shuts down the city, enough said.
- Pack, pack, pack
- INCOMPLETE—As the third child in my family, I know what goes along with moving off to college: lots of packing. I’m sure there will be furnishings for my new room (worked out with my new roomie), winter clothing, and of course, my Seahawks jersey to wear on the first Blue Friday.
