I am Thankful: Jumbo Style

Thanksgiving is a time of the year that is far too often neglected in favor of Christmas. Stores are eager to rush into the commercialized “Holiday Season” without allowing us to take time to reflect and give thanks for what we already have.

I have so much to be thankful for this year. I’m thankful for my friends, I’m thankful for my family, I’m thankful for nature, I’m thankful for cats… the list goes on. But I’m especially thankful for Tufts—the good, the bad, the snowy, the politically correct; I’ve learned a lot from this little school, and I want to express my gratitude for the people and places on this campus that are special to me.

  1. I’m thankful for the sauna at the gym (it is pure heaven on a cold day)
  2. I’m thankful for the view of Medford from my Wren suite
  3. I’m thankful for stir-fry at Carm
  4. I’m thankful for the gorgeous sunsets that light up the sky most evenings
  5. I’m thankful for the little bunnies outside of Miller that I see when I’m walking home from the library
  6. I’m thankful for T.W.O.
  7. I’m thankful for Chi Omega
  8. I’m thankful for the Rez
  9. I’m thankful for the Loj
  10. I’m thankful for TDC
  11. I’m thankful for study room 123C in Tisch
  12. I’m thankful that I’ve found classes I’m passionate about, and professors who are passionate about what they teach
  13. I’m thankful for the cannon
  14. I’m thankful for vegan craisin nut bars
  15. I’m thankful for the bells that play from Goddard at 5 pm each evening
  16. I’m thankful for Moe’s
  17. I’m thankful for Davis Square
  18. I’m thankful for the Prez Lawn in the fall
  19. I’m thankful for the people I’ve met here that have helped shape the person I am now
  20. I’m thankful I have the opportunity to attend this school
