Growing up in Utah, I’ve always had an appreciation for snow and winter—after all, more snow=better skiing, and better skiing=happy me! So coming to Boston as a freshman, I bragged about how I was ready for winter, and that nothing, no blizzard nor snow-day (I’ve never experienced a snow day in my whole life before college, because that term is foreign to Utahans) could scare me.
Then the “snow-pocalypse” of 2015 hit, and boy was I wrong.
Winter is now my least favorite season, to say the least. I was hoping that this year, perhaps Jack Frost would skip right over Boston all together, and I’d never have to break out my snow gear. But, from the looks of the weather outside the library window right at this moment, it would seem my hopes and dreams have been crushed.
Nonetheless, I’m all about finding the positives in a situation, so despite the grey skies and chilly weather, I’ve compiled a list of the best things about snowstorms at Tufts. Hopefully it will help me survive this winter!
