Hi everybody, my name is Ty Enos! I'm from North Dighton Massachusetts and I'm headed to campus in a few short weeks as a runner for the track/cross country teams, a cartoonist for the Tufts Daily, a prospective SMFA Dual-Degree student, and hopefully much more.
Like most incoming Jumbos, I spent this past summer with my family, our last hoorah together. It has been an absolute blast, but I've never been so excited for Summer to end. I'm going into my freshman year entirely undecided and completely open-minded. As of yet, there hasn't been an academic subject that has really called out to me, so I've opted to try out as many new and exciting things as I can while still being able to stay on top of things (or at least that's how it works out in my mind). It's that attitude that landed me here writing for the Tufts Blogs!
We interrupt this blog post with fun facts about me:
Anyway, here's the scoop on my blog: I've never been much of a writer. Inglisch is weigh to harde. That being said, I admit there may be a lack of poignant memoirs and inspiring adjectives coming from me. However, that doesn't mean I don't have something to say! I love to draw and I find I can best express myself and my ideas in the form of cartoons! Sometimes goofy, sometimes serious, sometimes containing tiny thought bubbles (see, as little words as possible), my cartoons will be my primary tool for expressing and documenting my thoughts and experiences on college life. Jumbo life, and maybe even normal life!
Without further ado, here's my first drawing for you guys. I wanted to express how I aim to start my college career headstrong and never second-guess what I can accomplish. Here's to the the next four years of hard work and loads of fun!
