Time in!
The time out of Thanksgiving Break is over. As the semester winds down, agendas fill up!
I think I can, I think I can
Just a few more weeks of this semester. I'm sad to see it end, but I'm also really tired.
Shipping up to Boston

One of the best parts of coming to Tufts is the accessibility of Boston. My friends and I are able to reach our destinations in the city at a low price and fairly quickly. I recently had a doctor’s appointment at Children’s Hospital Boston and my mom, who was driving in from Western MA, was planning on meeting me there. I took the T in to the city for the appointment, but had my mom drive me home. [Edit: While rereading this, I realized I referred to my house as Western MA and to Tufts as home.] In all honesty, it was a much faster trip there than back, as inner city traffic slowed us down quite a bit.
Students here have constant access to the city without the constant commotion of it. A friend of mine who attends a college within Boston has complained about not having a sense of community due to the lack of a defined campus. Other than inside her school’s buildings, she can’t really tell who is a student there and who isn’t. I’ve found...
Getting involved at Tufts: Just Be Yourself:)

This summer I had some time to reflect on my high school experiences. I recalled everything that I was involved in (I won’t bore you all with that, though) and I wondered what I wanted to be involved in during college and who I really was. I was big into student government back home, but what did I want to capitalize on at Tufts to benefit me after graduation?
So I came to campus totally open to new experiences. I’ve always been a shower singer, so I considered trying out for some of the acapella groups on campus. I really like playing soccer, so I thought about playing on an intramural team. One night I saw on tuftslife.com (it’s a really good website that keeps Tufts students posted on what’s up on campus) a posting for a general interest meeting for student government. Though still unsure that I wanted to continue this aspect of my life, I went.
At the meeting I realized that student government is what I love to do. Some people...
So many options...

One cool part about being at school is that it’s life now. We spend months applying to colleges, deciding where to attend, buying things for our dorm rooms and suddenly, it’s life. So far, life at Tufts University has been awesome.
One of the most important aspects of our lives is eating. Sometimes I wonder if in the future we’ll just eat gray mush that doesn’t really taste like anything but contains all of the vitamins we could ever need. They don’t offer this gray mush at Tufts; I kind of hope that they never will because the food here is truly good.
We have two dining halls at Tufts: Dewick/Macphie and Carmicheal, a.k.a. Dewick and Carm. There are also other places to eat on campus and it seems like I discover new ones every day. There’s a place called Brown and Brew somewhere and I’ve heard of events going on there but I have yet to find it…
I’ve heard rumors of schools nearby with really bad food. Some claim laxatives are added to...
