In two days, our first students will arrive on the Hill for the Voices of Tufts Diversity Experience. In total there will be 263 high school seniors who will experience what it’s like to be a Jumbo for the two days. The sad part about this is there are plenty of other qualified candidates who we were unable to invite because of space issues.
Here are a few quick facts about the students coming:
Potential Engineers: 82
States represented: 33 + Puerto Rico and DC
From my territory: 18 (a few of which I’ve already met)
Most students from one school: 10 (and it’s the same school two years running… in Austin, TX)
Two students from a rural town in Kentucky where the population is 1,193
There is even one student from my hometown!!!
Any guesses for the two states with the largest representation at Voices??? (Here’s a hint, it’s not Massachusetts, which is actually the third largest group of students attending Voices with 33 students)
