The Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service (Tisch College) is dedicated to preparing Tufts students to be committed public citizens and leaders who take an active role in building stronger communities. Tisch College provides opportunities for students to bridge their academic and research interests with their dedication to community service and social leadership through multidisciplinary coursework, field experiences, career workshops and capstone projects. Tisch College also offers a program of financial aid to selected students who are designated Citizenship and Public Service Scholars. After being selected for the program, students receive funding and guidance for self-directed research on social change, and become directly involved in organizing and overseeing activities that set an example of citizenship for the Tufts community. Alternately, students may pursue projects with help from the Tisch Civic Engagement Fund or as part of the Tisch Active Citizen Summer Fellows.
